Hi, my name is Vicky.
As an experienced and fully qualified English Teacher with an Honours Degree in Education, I have dedicated over 25 years to nurturing minds in prestigious English schools. For the past seven years, I’ve been passionate about teaching English as a second language online and welcoming international students into my home.
I founded Oxford Language Nest, driven by my belief that language learning opens doors to a world of unforgettable experiences—forging friendships, exploring new cultures, advancing professionally, and embracing the arts and literature. Throughout my career, I have witnessed firsthand how mastering a language enhances individuals’ well-being, boosts self-esteem, and empowers them to unlock their true potential, regardless of their age.
My mission is to replicate the passion of traditional face-to-face teaching in my online English language tuition. I strive to create bespoke cultural and homestay programmes that provide my students with a deeply immersive language experience, allowing them to practice English in real-life situations while enjoying the thrill of exploring the UK’s rich landscape.
I embrace a personalised approach to learning, moving away from the conventional large commercial summer school model. My students deserve an exceptional experience when they travel to the UK— learning English and immersing themselves in a new culture.
I am committed to designing an engaging, fun, and uplifting English language experience for every student, regardless of age or proficiency level. I understand that everyone learns differently; thus, I will never settle for the notion of “one size fits all” in education. My students are at the centre of my efforts as I craft and deliver my Bespoke English Tutoring Online and Homestay courses.
I am experienced in teaching a diverse range of students—from beginners to advanced learners and those preparing for structured examinations, such as the Cambridge exam. I am invigorated by the challenge of supporting my students in reaching their personal goals.
I am also grateful to have formed a small team of passionate educators who share my vision and commitment to lifelong learning, as we work together to inspire and empower students on their language journey.
We’ve been so impressed by how much our children have grown through their lessons with Vicky. Emilie’s English is well ahead of others her age. She loves reading in English and speaks and writes with real confidence. Georges has developed a strong interest in the language, too.
What we love most is how naturally they’ve picked it up. I’ve never seen them memorising word lists or drilling grammar, yet their vocabulary is rich, and their spoken English feels effortless. This kind of “painless” learning suits our children. I often find myself asking, “Where did you learn that?” and they’ll casually reply, “Vicky taught me.” It’s one of those small but lovely reminders of how much they absorb without realising it.
Vicky’s lessons go far beyond language. She weaves in literature, history, and British culture, adding real depth and keeping the children curious and engaged.
